Heartland Drone Services LLC was founded in 2022 by Baxter Sahlfeld. Baxter is from Salina, KS and met his wife Kenzie at college in Wichita before enlisting in the military. He served 6 years in the United States Air Force, where he flew drones as part of a RADR (rapid airfield damage repair) team in order to assess airfield damage after mortar strikes. Upon returning to Kansas, he saw potential in assisting farmers and ranchers with their livelihoods- offering an efficient and cost effective method of controlling unwanted pests via the use of drones. He combined his passion for the outdoors and his skillset with drones to create Heartland Drone Services.
We have enjoyed the last two seasons of serving our local Kansas farmers and ranchers and building those relationships. We look forward to growth as we continue to expand our fleet and footprint across the state.
